In two years, Kody Brown has seen three of his plural marriages fall apart.
And on the latest season of Sister Wives, his relationship with remaining wife Robyn Brown appears to be on the rocks, with tense arguments and Robyn admitting she’s lost all respect for her husband. However, Kody’s exes Janelle Brown and Christine Brown don’t necessarily see that as a sign there’s trouble in paradise.
As Christine, 51, put it simply in an exclusive interview with E! News, “I think they’re fine.”
Janelle, 55, agreed, noting, “I actually feel like that’s probably normal couple relationship dynamics.”
The way they see it, the major shift in their family over the last few years—Kody going from four wives to just one—has fundamentally altered Kody, 55, and Robyn’s relationship. (After Christine left Kody in 2021, Janelle followed suit in 2022 and Meri Brown ended her estranged marriage to Kody shortly after.)
“You know that that’s got to be really hard on him,” Christine—who shares six kids with Kody—explained. “It’s, what, three divorces in two years?
So, their relationship will probably have some things they have to figure out because it changes the dynamic of who you are as a person. But no, I would imagine they’re fine. I bet they’re going to be great together.”
Janelle echoed the sentiments, emphasizing, “I’m sure they’re fine.”
As for Christine, she’s moved on in the romance department, recently celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary to David Woolley. As for how she would describe her first year of marriage?
“So much fun, so much adventure,” Christine said, adding, “I never really understood the term, partner.”
“I feel like being married to David, I’m more independent than I ever was,” she gushed. “I’ve done more and accomplished more. I’m a better business person. I feel like a better mom.
I feel like I’m better at every role than I ever was before. I have a really a true partner that’s there all the time.”
New episodes of Sister Wives air Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
