“The nerve!!!!!” — Sister Wives fans criticize Robyn for questioning Janelle’s decision to recoup her money

Season 19 of Sister Wives released its episode on Sunday, September 22, 2024. It saw Janelle Brown confess that her ex-husband Kody and his sole wife Robyn owed her money related to the property she helped them finance.

Janelle stated that she alongside the other wives contributed to the downpayment of Robyn’s home in Flagstaff, Arizona. She alleged that Kody did not allow her to put her name on the home’s mortgage at that time.

He even kept stalling settling the property’s payment that was due in six months. Consequently, Janelle claimed she would like to recoup some of the money she invested in Robyn’s home.

However, Robyn had a different understanding. She wondered why Janelle intended to calculate her share of the investment, revealing it would be difficult since they made contributions as a family.

Sister Wives fans took to X to criticize Robyn for her remarks. They accused her of wanting to build her life from the other wives’ money. They also called her out for questioning Janelle’s decision to retrieve her money.

“The nerve!!!!! While the rest were working, Robin never even had a job. All she has brought into the family was her freaking debt!” a fan wrote.

“No Robyn…it’s not confusing to calculate what Janelle is owed. Her profits from her Vegas house that went into your Flagstaff house is to be returned to her,” another fan commented.

“Scumbag Kody and Robyn had BETTER repay Jenelle money. Robyn, Jenelle will have no problem calculating what you owe are dumba**,” a netizen tweeted.

Many Sister Wives fans disapproved of Robyn’s comments, claiming Janelle had the right to recoup her money from a home she would not live in.

“Robyn you didn’t learn to budget. The family paid off your 60k debt. The audacity!!!!!!!” a user reacted.

“ALL the family money was poured into Robyn’s house?! All of it?! B**ch?! Nah. Janelle and the other ones better get their coins back. Immediately. Either that or the others jump her to make up for it. Diabolical a** sh*t,” one person commented.

“Loved when Robyn said she would not even know how to give Janelle her part of the house because they were all “working together” and it was “for the family”. Ummmm, you give her the money she put in- it is literally quantifiable, Robyn,” one fan wrote.

At the same time, some Sister Wives fans claimed Robyn wanted to keep Janelle around, hoping to live from her finances.

“Robyn has hopes for Kody building relationships with Meri and Janelle not because she cares about having them as a family. She cares about those relationships so those women can fund her lifestyle,” one person reacted.

In the latest episode, Let There Be Light, Janelle drove out of Flagstaff with her daughter Madison Brush, hoping to look for a new property in Montana.

In the wake of her split from Kody, Janelle confessed she would be more comfortable living somewhere else; somewhere she could garden and have a few animals, since Kody was not fond of the farm lifestyle.

While talking to Madison, Janelle revealed Kody did not allow her to put her name on the home’s mortgage.

“When I put the money into the house, I said, ‘Well, I think it would be fair if all of our names were on the mortgage’ and he’s like, ‘No, no, we need to protect, you know, protect Robyn’s estate. She needs to have it so it’s hers and so it’s ours,'” Janelle said.

However, when Kody’s sole wife Robyn discovered that Janelle intended to reimburse herself, she felt confused. She explained that there were no clear demarcations on who was owed what within the family since everyone contributed as a family.

The Sister Wives star added that they had been “working together” for a long period and had only stopped recently.

“When Janelle’s bringing up that Kody and I owe her something, it’s like, how do you, how do you calculate? How do you figure that out? It’s so confusing,” Robyn stated.

At the same time, Kody refused to divulge information to Janelle about Coyote Pass and their shared assets. The Sister Wives star said he did not want to disclose information that would go through “the gossip mill” of his broken family.

Janelle knew despite avoiding the topic, Kody had to pay it off. Therefore, while talking to Christine, Janelle confessed that if Kody refused to buy her off, she would be forced to take legal action against him.
