Sister Wives star Meri Brown answered questions about Robyn Brown in a new real-time interview ahead of the TLC series, Season 19. But something Meri said contradicted what Robyn revealed a while back, which makes a big difference in the chain of events for the fourth wife.
Sister Wives: Meri Brown On Fence About Robyn Brown Today?
Meri Brown didn’t gush over Robyn Brown, and she never referred to her as her best friend, like she used to. She didn’t even mention if she had a relationship with this Sister Wives celeb anymore. However, she mentions that today, she is just “cordial” with her ex-co-wives.
So, it doesn’t sound as if they are as close as they once professed to be. But she mildly defended Robyn during this interview on the podcast Miss Understood with Rachel.
As far as how she sees the relationship with Kody Brown and his fourth wife, Meri said it’s solid. And she all but guarantees Kody won’t be looking to replace any of the wives who jumped ship.
Meri & Robyn Tell Two Different Stories
When Meri Brown was asked about Robyn entering the family, she answered one way. But this contradicts what the youngest Sister Wives bride had said previously. So, this could be a mistake on Meri Brown’s part.
Or it might be her way of softening the negative comments. Maybe to stave off any more bashing about Robyn’s agenda for coming into this family. Rachel Uchitel, the woman interviewing Meri, asked if wife number four knew about the Sister Wives show when first dating the shared husband.
Meri said no, this happened after Robyn agreed to marry into the family. For years, fans pelted the youngest wife with comments about having a few hidden agendas when marrying into the Sister Wives family. One of them was a chance to be a TV star.
Still, Meri said Robyn agreed to marry into the family before they knew about Sister Wives. But Robyn said in the book the five spouses penned that Kody told her about Sister Wives when they started dating.
She said in the book that she thought at the time it was only his wishful thinking. So, according to what Robyn Brown reported, she did know about the show before saying she’d marry the man with the ringlets.
Sister Wives: Forgetfulness or Caretaker?
It was a long time ago, so Meri Brown could have forgotten just when Robyn learned about the show. Or maybe Meri was attempting to smooth over those comments that suggest the fame lured Robyn.
While Meri Brown is kind about this, another member of the Sister Wives family, Paedon Brown, once said Robyn found someone to take care of her and her three kids. This is his perception of why she married his father.
The first time she met the entire family, she drove there on borrowed money for gas. She was flat broke. Robyn revealed this herself in that book.
So, it looks like Meri Brown may still protect Robyn Brown’s image today, or she just forgot the timeline for wife number four entering the family. Again, it was a long time ago, back when the TLC series was still on the drawing board.
