Sister Wives season 19 is right around the corner, and Robyn Brown might present a whole new side in the upcoming series to redeem herself from her villain status. For the longest, Robyn has been considered by many Sister Wives fans as a home wrecker.
When she joined the Brown family, Kody already had three wives – Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown. At first, their dynamics seemed to work pretty well, with her co-wives commending Robyn for her incredible communication skills.
However, it didn’t take long before Kody started favoring his younger wife, Robyn, causing a rift within the household.
Since then, Robyn, alongside Kody, has been a villain in the Sister Wives family. For the last 18 seasons of Sister Wives, Robyn has repeatedly shown her ulterior motives beyond just joining the family.
Before becoming Kody’s wife, Robyn was in a monogamous relationship with her then-husband, David Jessop. That might be one of the reasons why she pushed the OG wives away and encouraged Kody to stay monogamous.
With Sister Wives season 19 dropping in mid or late summer, here are things Robyn could do to redeem herself.
Robyn Brown Should Be Honest & Transparent
She Should Be Truthful
In most cases, Robyn is never honest. She has been caught several times following the narrative that best suits her story. Sometimes, the Sister Wives reality star forgets her lies and contradicts herself.
When discussing Kody’s strict COVID-19 rules, the mother of five stated during an interview that one of her children asked her to stop controlling Kody so that he would loosen his authority. However, Robyn was adamant that one wife couldn’t run Kody.
“I didn’t make up these rules and I very specifically pointed out that their dad Kody, is not somebody to be run by one of his wives.”
Robyn later contracted herself during Sister Wives season 17 tell-all. In that session, Robyn told the host, Sukanya Krishnan, that Kody aborted his desire to reconcile with his first wife Meri because Christine, his third wife, was against it.
Therefore, having Robyn be sincere and transparent in Sister Wives season 19 can redeem her status quo among the Sister Wives viewers.
She could first admit that she was selfish towards Kody during their time in a polygamous marriage, which led to the dissolution of his other relationships.
Robyn Should Stop Playing Victim
She Has Played This Card For A Long Time
Robyn’s level of self-victimization has been high throughout Sister Wives (via Entertainment Tonight.) She is never the problem, but everyone around her is. The devout wife alienated Kody from the family from the start.
Robyn has been a cunning manipulator, but most people, even within the Brown residence, underestimated her ability because she often faked crying and seemed hurt.
Having fed Kody’s narcissistic ego meant that whatever she needed, Kody gave it to Robyn. The Sister Wives cast member claimed that she ended her first marriage because of abuse.
When Robyn came into the family, she presented the victim mentality from the start. Soon enough, Kody adopted it, too. He was a willing participant in learning Robyn’s passive aggressiveness and soon enough began blaming everyone for his misfortunes.
It was his children’s fault that Kody wouldn’t see them since they couldn’t obey the COVID-19 rules. Kody also blamed his wives for his polygamous lifestyle failure. Robyn pushed the rest of the wives away and blamed it on Kody, saying she never wanted their plural marriage to end.
Meri was willing to try to work out the relationship, but Kody wasn’t. During that conversation, it was evident that Robyn wasn’t looking forward to having the family united again.
She wanted to be Kody’s only wife despite stating she always wanted to be in a plural marriage over and over. The Sister Wives reality star’s biggest issue is that she believes she could do no wrong.
Some might argue Robyn doesn’t deserve her villain status, while others view her as wicked. Therefore, as long as Robyn continues presenting herself as “perfect,” there will never be redemption for her.
However, the audience will see if the Sister Wives participant has had a moment of reflection and changed her ways when season 19 premieres.
