Ever since Charles Mesure debuted in his first daytime role on General Hospital, many fans have been fascinated by the character of Brennan.

It’s no secret that the actor has had a successful career in primetime on such series as Crossing Jordan, Desperate Housewives, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce, Once Upon a Time and Gotham Nights, to name a small few, and there are some other things he does on the side that might surprise you.

His co-star Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) found out as much while spending some time with Mesure. “Stopped on way home to give my newest castmate Charles Mesure, some tips on how to best learn his lines,” she stated then joked, “Being a primetimer it’s easy to see why he’s so intimidated by us daytimers.”

And “while not learning lines at all,” Grahn revealed she learned that he “makes guitars… ridiculously insane guitars” in his spare time and “builds all kinds of wooden furniture” too. Not only that, he is a “seriously decent person. Your interest in him is merited.”

Fans quickly jumped into the comments to give Mesure praise and a few hoped to one day see more interactions between Brennan and Alexis.

However, one fan, Cathy Schoedes Smitheimer, had another request and shared, “And he’s talented too! Ever so easy on the eyes! I know his character is interested in Carly but I’d like to see him with Diane! Yes, Diane.”

Though Grahn and Mesure have their craft down pat, having been in the business for years, if you’re an aspiring actor and need some tips on learning lines, we found the perfect book for you…

In the end, whoever the writers decide to pair Brennan with, we’re here for it!
