And because the soap is preempted on Tuesday and Wednesday for baseball coverage, fans will have to wait until Thursday to see what happens (and possibly Friday if a tiebreaker game is required on Thursday)!

After their first meeting in 1997, Liz and Lucky became a popular supercouple on the soap and their fans are eagerly waiting to see what happens when they are brought back together after all these years. “The Lucky and Elizabeth moment, it’s one of those things,” Jonathan Jackson previewed to Soap Opera Digest.

“It’s like, the history is so rich, and the setting and the characters and the memories, not only that we have but the audience has, as well, and all of that strength is there.

“And it all kind of speaks for itself, really,” he continued. “I think as an actor, the most important thing is just to be present and to kind of just be in the moment and to listen because when everything around you is already working for you, you don’t really need to overthink it. All of that subtext is there.”

Now, while these scenes in Bobbie’s are the first time that Lucky and Liz have spoken face to face since 2015, portrayers Jackson and Rebecca Herbst have already shared a scene when Lucky hallucinated Liz visiting him while he was being held prisoner by Sidwell.

“I think Becky and I being able to have the vision/dream sequence in the jail kind of gave us an emotional anchoring to go through all the other things when they actually meet,” Jackson mused. “It was kind of a way of us exploring some of the subtext, even prior to doing the scenes where they met back in Port Charles.”

Even as Liz and Lucky navigate their complicated feelings, there’s still another dramatic reunion yet to be had — Lucky and his son, Aiden, now played by Colin Cassidy.

Will Aiden be happier to see his long-absent father than Jake was when Jason came back? Stay tuned to see how it all plays out and share your opinions in the comments below!
