One soap opera’s terrible writing decision is another soap’s treasure, right? Bold & Beautiful fans are begging for producers to consider adding General Hospital‘s Kelly Monaco to the cast. Who would she be? Here is what fans are thinking.
Kelly Monaco’s Departure From General Hospital Enrages Fans
Kelly Monaco has recently been let go from General Hospital. She has played the role of Sam McCall on the ABC soap since 2003. Many fans are up in arms about her departure, especially because it seems like Kelly won’t even get to play out Sam’s final scenes.
The soap recast the role with Lindsay Hartley and the storyline is pointing to Sam’s death. However, that hasn’t stopped long-time fans from rallying for Kelly Monaco’s return. In fact, there is a group campaigning to bring her back.
They set up a billboard in Times Square on Friday in hopes of getting the attention of the GH producers and writers. The group intends to set up the billboard again in Los Angeles next week.
Despite all of this, General Hospital doesn’t seem to be interested in bringing Kelly back at this point. There haven’t been any details revealed about the actress’s exit other than it wasn’t her decision and the storyline dictated her departure.
That said, Bold & Beautiful fans would happily have Kelly Monaco join the cast of the CBS soap. Several fans took to Reddit to discuss the possibility of Kelly coming to B&B and who she might play.
Could Kelly Come To Bold & Beautiful?
One fan posted a photo of Kelly Monaco and wrote, “Dear soap gods, please bring her to B&B.” Other fans seemed to like the idea.
“Love Kelly Monaco. Maybe she could be Felicia or Quinn,” one Reddit user suggested. “That would be a good idea. I don’t watch general hospital, but I know Kelly is loved by many of fans,” a second person chimed in. “How about a new love interest for Liam or Wyatt?” a third interjected.
“She’s Taylor #4!” another person predicted, while several other people thought she could be Stephanie returned from the dead. A few more people thought she’d make a good Quinn on Bold & Beautiful as well.
“I will say this, as much as I love Sofer as Quinn Kelly’s the only actress out there who can take it over and do the role proper justice. She has her own intensity I think that she’d rock it with,” one person fawned over the GH star.
Right now, it is not certain what the next career move will be for Kelly Monaco. It doesn’t seem like she’s immediately looking for new work. She’s hinted at telling fans what happened with her role at General Hospital when all is said and done.
