General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) may have had a baby years ago when she fled Port Charles to “focus on her music career” back in Bensonhurst and New York City.
Her mom, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), probably helped her pull it off while keeping it a secret from everyone they knew — except, that is, for her longtime dear friend, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Fans are speculating that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Brook Lynn have a shared secret about their past that they don’t want anyone to figure out. Could it be that they had a child they gave up for adoption — and could that child be Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza)? If so, rumor has it they don’t know it!
General Hospital Spoilers — The Math Is Sort Of Right
General Hospital has a longstanding history of fudging the math over the years to make a good storyline fit. This is not different.
While Brook Lynn’s venture to destroy the dynamic duo of Dante and Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) happened some 14 years ago, no one really cares. We’ll accept that Gio is roughly 18 and has just reached adulthood.
It tracks, and it makes sense that Brook Lynn might start thinking more about the child she gave up once she knows he has turned 18.
GH Spoilers Boast Mother Knows Best
Lois might have been on board with helping her daughter out of this situation. If Brook Lynn wasn’t ready to be a mother, so be it, but that didn’t mean Lois wanted to spend forever not knowing whether her grandson was okay or not.
It’s quite possible Sonny may have agreed with her as the baby boy’s grandfather. What were two grandparents to do? Lie and deceive their children for what they thought was the betterment of the whole family, of course.
However, it’s not likely that Brook Lynn and Dante are going to see it that way — since this decision only really helped alleviate the ache in Sonny and Lois’ hearts.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny to the Rescue
Lois was a well-connected woman once upon a time, but it’s hardly rocket science to figure out it would’ve been Sonny who put all of this mess into place. He would’ve had the reach to find a woman who wanted a child — and was willing to go along with this lie.
Enter, Gio’s violinist extraordinaire mother. No one could have known she would die when Gio was ten — leaving him a bit of an orphan while Lois and Sonny continued to keep their mouths shut about him being adopted. Will Dante and Brook Lynn ever forgive them for this? Will Gio?
