While many General Hospital fans know and love the beautiful and feisty character of Josslyn Jacks, we’re taking a look inside the real life of actress Eden McCoy.
Josslyn has been the center of attention in recent General Hospital episodes as she is going through a devastating breakup with her longtime boyfriend Dex.
While Dex is expected to win her back after a shocking police confession with Anna, the pair still have a lot to work through as he ruined her perception of him after admitting that he was plotting to murder Cyrus.
But this is just one of the many captivating storylines that Eden has pulled off during her Emmy-award winning performance on the soap opera.
Eden has been playing the dynamic role of Josslyn on the show ever since October of 2015. And while fans know and love the character of Josslyn, we’re taking a closer look at Eden’s real life outside of the soap opera as she is a caring daughter, world traveler, hiker, and Hollywood star.
While Eden’s claim-to-fame is her role on General Hospital, she has taken on roles in a few other shows and films. Some of her other work includes her performances on The Kids From 62-F, The Thundermans, and Tenured.
But most fans know Eden from the soap opera which she went on to win a Daytime Emmy award for in the outstanding younger performer in a drama series category.
After the milestone win, Eden took to Instagram thanking her loving fans for their support and love throughout her journey.
She wrote: “Words can’t describe the gratitude I feel…I just want to say thank you for the best 8 years to my General Hospital family….thank you for letting me be a tiny FRACTION of your incredible legacy . For you mommy!!!”

While Eden has been a staple of the show for a decade now, she did recently make her return to the show after temporarily stepping away from the role in mid-December of last year.
Eden’s brief time away from the soap came as she was dealing with the aftermath of her mother’s death after she passed away from cancer. As a family-oriented person and loving daughter, Eden needed to take some time away from acting to process her grief.
The 20-year-old star shared the news in a heartfelt tribute post, writing: “My mother has fought an intense battle with cancer for the past 2 and a half years and has now left us physically. I’m not sure what to say other than she was, is, and will be the best thing I have ever known.”
She continued: “Losing my mother has always been my greatest fear, as I’m sure many of you feel the same, and we have this habit as people of thinking that it will never happen to us.
Unfortunately it can, and sometimes it does. I would do anything and give everything for one more minute with her. But not only was I lucky enough to know my mother, we could not have been closer.”
Outside of her career and family-life, Eden is also an adventurous world traveler and has taken to Instagram showcasing some of her most remarkable excursions. In some of her posts over recent months, Eden has been very active as she has been seen hiking through beautiful forests, taking a cold plunge in the wilderness, hitting the snowy slopes, beaming in front of the Eiffel Tower, and more.
And while it doesn’t seem she has a romantic partner in her life she seems to be surrounded by a loving group of supportive female friends that accompany her on her many travels.
