We watch our favorite daytime characters each weekday and follow their various ups and downs as they navigate life in their respective soap opera cities — and in the process, we become loyal fans of the stars who bring them to life and into our homes.
However, have you ever wondered what other shows the soap actors and actresses would enjoy appearing on?
It’s no secret that many of them have had guest roles, and even some longer arcs, in numerous primetime series but like us, the stars are fans themselves of other shows and General Hospital’s Laura Wright (Carly) happens to be one of the police drama Chicago P.D.
Last week, following the popular NBC series’ Season 11 episode four titled “Escape,” the ABC vet took to social media to express her reaction to the Wednesday night installment…
“Ohhh Chicago P.D., you make me happy,” Wright stated.
Now, it’s not clear as to what storyline or which characters in that particular episode caused the actress to post that comment, but one of her fans had something to say in reply…
“Laura, would you like to guest star on Chicago P.D. as a detective?” crystalinaacosta40 asked. “You would be amazing.” And her comment caught the attention of Wright, who replied, “Ohhhh I would love it!”
Other fans expressed that they would love to see that happen too, including Debbie Strang, who tagged the show and added, “I would die! Chicago P.D., please make this happen! Laura Wright is perfection.”
We would love to see it happen as well! And for those wondering when the series will return, be sure to tune in on Wednesday, February 21, when the season resumes with episode five titled “Split Second,” where a string of jewelry store robberies shakes Atwater’s confidence,” and as always, you can stream Chicago P.D. on Amazon Prime Video today.
