Kelly Monaco and Anthony Geary Reunite!

Soap fans aren’t the only ones missing General Hospital icon Anthony Geary (ex-Luke) after the Emmy-winning actor retired to live in Amsterdam — his longtime co-stars do, too!

Recently, Kelly Monaco (Sam) used some time off from the soap to pay a visit to the Netherlands… and Geary!

“Visiting my dearest friend,” she captioned a photo of herself with Geary posing on a bridge over one of the numerous canals in the city.

Geary’s partner, Claudio Gama, also shared some videos that featured some quick glimpses of Monaco’s trip to Amsterdam, which naturally included some tours of the canals on their boat.

One included some shots of everyone watching the UEFA European Football Championship game between Netherlands and Turkey on July 6 with Monaco throwing up her arms to cheer as the camera panned past her.

Another showed a torrential summer rainstorm outside and Monaco capturing the severe weather on her phone for posterity.

Geary originally joined the cast of GH for a short-term run as Luke Spencer back in 1978 but the character proved so popular that he stuck around for years, exiting in 1984.

He returned to the soap as look-alike cousin Bill Eckert in 1991 but that run was short-lived and Geary was back playing Luke again in 1993.

Before deciding to retire in 2015, the actor had racked up a record eight Daytime Emmy Award wins for Lead Actor.

Monaco made her daytime debut playing Livvie Locke on GH spinoff Port Charles in 2000, and after that soap ended in 2003, she joined the mothership as the newly-created character of Sam McCall.

She has earned two Daytime Emmy Award nominations, one for each soap.

It also appears that Geary and Gama will be hosting a visiting Finola Hughes (Anna) very soon.

The actress commented on a post featuring their cat to say “See you in a couple weeks, Max.” And on the video of the rainstorm, she assured them, “I have my raincoat!” We look forward to seeing photos of that reunion, too!
