General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Causes Sonny’s Mental Breakdown – Hallucinates Son Morgan
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) seems to have a new plan in mind for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Scott mentioned that a public mental breakdown might be the only path to Ava winning a custody feud, so Ava will be motivated to make that happen.
Of course, Ava is already proving how low she’s willing to sink.
Nothing is off-limits for Ava, who’ll do something downright dangerous during the week of July 8-12.
Whether that involves switching Sonny’s meds for full-blown placebos or something else, Ava will make an already risky situation even riskier.
It’s clear that Ava is headed down a truly terrible path – and Sonny is headed down one of his own.
If Sonny does have a public mental breakdown like Ava’s counting on, will that be when Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) makes his upcoming appearance?
GH spoilers say Bryan Craig is set to pop up in one episode this August, 2024, so Morgan’s stint will obviously be quite brief.
Perhaps Sonny will hallucinate Morgan when he truly goes off the rails.
If Sonny “sees” Morgan and starts talking to him in front of other people, that’ll be a giant warning sign for those closest to him.
It’s easy to imagine some heartbreaking scenes where Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) tearfully tries to remind Sonny that Morgan is gone.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamproga), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could also witness Sonny’s imaginary Morgan reunion for drama’s sake since Morgan was their brother.
There might be a scenario where Dante has to restrain Sonny if he refuses to believe Morgan isn’t real and spirals out of control.
Naturally, there could be other ways for the show to use Morgan during his one-episode appearance, but the idea of him being part of Sonny’s mental breakdown is certainly worth considering now that we know what Ava’s hoping for.
If Sonny thinks Morgan is back and right in front of him, that’ll be proof that he’s in no condition to be caring for Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) or Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) for that matter.
This could be a giant wakeup call for Sonny’s loved ones and help them see that something is seriously wrong when it comes to his meds.
