General Hospital Spoilers Monday, July 8: Thankful Politicians, Disgusted Moms, Unwelcome Guests
General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, July 8 tease thankful politicians, disgusted moms and unwelcome guests.
Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) gives thanks, Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) disgusted and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) spots an unwelcome guest.
General Hospital Spoilers: Thankful Politicians
Drew is declaring his intention to run for Congressman Larry McConkey’s (Sam McMurray) position, standing in front of McConkey and an American flag as he expresses his gratitude.
He acknowledges that he wouldn’t be in this position without someone’s help. It was Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) who connected him with the Congressman, who was a friend of her father.
It seems like he may be publicly thanking her. Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) provided her with a strong endorsement as a PR professional.
GH Spoilers: Expert Opinions
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) reveals her decision to rely on the advice of experts as she shares her plans with Mac and Felicia Scorpio (John J. York, Kristina Wagner) elsewhere.
Laura’s deputy mayor, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), is also present during the discussion about Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) upcoming review.
Laura believes it is important to look into Heather’s past crimes in light of her previous cobalt poisoning, which could have affected her actions. Felicia seems doubtful, and both Mac and Jordan appear to share her skepticism.
General Hospital Spoilers: Disgusted Moms
Drew’s decisions do not sit well with everyone, especially Sam, who seems particularly frustrated with him regarding their daughter Emily “Scout” Cain (Cosette Abinante) – or should we say Quartermaine now.
Sam’s annoyance may stem more from the surname change than Drew’s political aspirations, although the two issues are intertwined.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) hints to Sam that there may be more to her frustration than meets the eye, possibly implying she has secrets to hide.
As Sam and Dante stand at the Quartermaine boathouse, she gazes up at the sky and rolls her eyes, seemingly attempting to block out his words. It’s clear that Sam is struggling to cope with the recent upheavals in her life.
GH Spoilers: Best Buddy Talk
In the meantime, James West (Gary James Fuller) is looking for Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) approval as he checks in with him, asking if it’s okay with him.
Cody is about to make a confession, and it seems like James is the one he’s confessing to!
Cody has become one of James’ closest allies, always there for James and his family. But would Cody really confess to James that he’s Mac’s son?
Surely he knows James would tell Mac-maybe James is asking Cody if it’s okay to reveal the truth!
General Hospital Spoilers: A Word To The Wise
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) seems to be dishing out more advice, warning someone that things could end in disaster! After advising Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) about paparazzi recently, she might be having a serious conversation with Nina this time around.
Former fake daughter and fake mama are still good friends, might Nina be the one she’s advising, or will it turn out to be someone else?
It does seem like Sasha is referring to a particular situation as she speaks. Who might she be advising this time?
GH Spoilers: Unwelcome Guests
Tracy is at the Quartermaine mansion wearing Drew’s campaign button, and she seems to be annoyed by the presence of a female guest. She’s asking, “Who invited her?”
It’s clear that she’s not happy about the guest’s arrival and doesn’t think she should be there. It’s possible that the campaign reporter Curtis spoke unfavorably about has shown up, as if Adrian DeWitt (Dieterich Gray) hadn’t caused enough problems already!
