First off, congratulations to Drew for making it through his little prison stint on General Hospital. He took one for the team (and by that, we mean Carly) and emerged from the other side! Sure, he was a bit bruised and battered after the ordeal, but all’s well that ends well, right?
So what’s next for him? Well, the sky’s the limit! Or is it? Our sister site Deadline shared the news that Cameron Mathison has just signed a multi-picture deal with Great American Media, making a number of movies with the company behind Great American Family and Pure Flix over the next several years.
This isn’t entirely new territory for the General Hospital actor, who’s made two Christmas movies for the Great American Family channel and, for years, has been a regular over on Hallmark — particularly the Murder, She Baked movie series with Days of Our Lives alum Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami).
With that said, if he’s going to be splitting his time between Murder, She Baked and Great American Family, there may not be a whole lot of time left for General Hospital. We suppose Drew could set a new Port Charles record for amount of times being sent to prison (not that that’s a huge hurdle in the town where no one seems to face punishment!) but it could get tricky working around a filming schedule.
Then again, once the news gets around about what Nina spilled to the SEC, it may not be long before Sonny goes running right back to Carly. And that would leave Drew out in the cold! So if he’s not headed out of town, he may soon wish that, at the very least, he could disappear.
