‘SW’: S19E01 | Robyn Brown Says Her and Kody Brown’s Marriage Is the “Worst” It’s Ever Been
In the season 19 premiere of Sister Wives, Kody Brown and Robyn Brown got candid about their marriage struggles following his breakups with Christine Brown, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown.
Kody Brown is struggling to keep his one remaining marriage in check.
In the season 19 premiere of Sister Wives, the former polygamist got candid about the status of his marriage to Robyn Brown in the wake of his three splits from exes Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown.
When Kody and Robyn were forced to come face-to-face with Christine at a baby sprinkle for Kody and Christine’s daughter Mykelti Padron, the tension was palpable. And in the wake of her 2021 split from Kody, Christine seemed to be doing better than ever.
“I think Christine’s in a good place because she’s moved out, she’s moved on,” Kody admitted in his confessional interview. “Robyn and I are really, kind of, in a struggling place.”
Robyn, who had previously made it clear that she wanted to keep her sister wives in the family, took Kody’s statement on their relationship a step further.
“We’re probably doing the worst we’ve ever done in our marriage,” she shared. “It’s been tough. It’s been tough between us. He doesn’t know who to blame, himself or one of the other wives.
Kody’s feeling a lot of rejection, so I think he’s kind of looking at me going, ‘Are you going to reject me too?’ So I’m on my toes. I’m having to consistently make sure that he’s not sabotaging our relationship.”
TLCAfter three splits in three back-to-back years, Kody was facing his anger and self doubt in the scene, which was filmed in late 2022.
“I love Robyn, and she’s dear to me,” he said of his only remaining wife. “I respect her dearly. Her telling me I’m still good is valuable to me. I want to give her more credibility, but I’ve had three people basically blame me. It’s just not that easy.”
TLCThe shift in the Kody/Robyn dynamic was also apparent to Christine, who had been nervous to see her ex and his wife.
“Seeing Kody and Robyn at the party, I realized all of the sudden that this was more awkward for them,” Christine shared. “They’re outsiders here, not me.”
