Devastating Update from General Hospital Gregory Chase: The News That Will Leave You Speechlessđ±
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) came to Port Charles to teach at the University.
Gregory also wanted to be near his sons. Gregory and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) had finally made their peace, and the family was together, even with little brother Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). However, all good things must end.
General Hospital spoilers revealed that Gregory was diagnosed with ALS but did not tell his sons about his diagnosis for some time. However, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) realized that something was wrong with Gregory and pushed until he told her the truth about his ALS diagnosis and swore her to secrecy.
Gregory tried to deal with his ALS to the best of his ability, but eventually, the symptoms got to a point where Gregory had to reveal his diagnosis to Finn. Chase was very upset to have not been told about the disease until later. Gregoryâs condition was getting worse, and there was no reason for Finn to run tests and see what was going on himself. Gregory knew what was to come if he lasted long with this disease and didnât want to face that.
Gregory actually made a bucket list of things he wanted to do before he died. With Alexisâs help, he accomplished many of them. Gregory even went skydiving, which Alexis was not thrilled about, but Gregory was happy and carefree.
Gregory moved in with Finn and his daughter, Violet. Finn and Violetâs grandfather were awfully close. Violet knew that her grandfather was sick and tried to help him as best she could.
However, Gregory was unable to stay with her at times because of his illness. Violet is the one who noticed Gregory wasnât in the morning he was found.
Gregory struggled while officiating Chaseâs wedding to Brooklyn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Gregory even hesitated partway through the ceremony, but he got through it in the end and was able to enjoy the reception for a short time with the family. Gregory later admitted how much it had taken out of him and went home.
Gregory went to bed after the wedding, expecting to get up the next morning and start his daily routine. Gregoryâs family had no idea that he was ready to pass away that night.
However, Gregory wanted to see his son happy, and he got that. Finn later discovered that Gregory was dead and began drinking. Finn was sent off to rehab, and Gregory moved on to better things.
However, we want to focus on the reactions of Gregory Harrisonâs co-stars for a moment now that his exit is official.
Several cast members have posted goodbye messages on social media, so letâs look at what some of them had to say.
For starters, Michael Easton posted a heartfelt tribute to his TV Dad on Instagram.
Itâs clear that Easton had a great off-screen relationship with Harrison and was sad to see him go.
âGregory Harrison. One of the finest actors Iâve ever had the privilege of working with and an even better human being. I learned so much from you, my friend, and it was an absolute honor to get to share a stage with you these past three years. Your talent, grace and powerful presence will be greatly missed around the studio,â Easton said.
In addition to Eastonâs behind-the-scenes photos and kind comments, Jophielle Love posted some pics and a sweet message of her own.
âOh GrandâPa Gregory! @gnhsurf I will miss you so very much on GH . And I know Michael@will to! @generalhospitalabc ⊠I wish you didnât die You were the best TV Grand Pa!â Love insisted.
Although Love acknowledged Violetâs sadness, she pointed out that she gained an honorary grandpa in real life and expressed her love to Harrison.
Nancy Lee Grahn also reflected on her time working with Harrison and showered him with some well-deserved compliments.
âWas hard to say good bye to working with my friend, Gregory Harrison. What a treat to share the stage with this guy, and getting to know him was a gift.
I truly love & respect everything about him,â Grahn said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
General Hospital spoilers say Gregoryâs funeral arrangements will have to be made soon, so weâll bring you more predictions on the added despair thatâll bring.
