Sister Wives

Janelle Brown has officially left the state of Arizona. The property records and Tony Padron confirm she’s a North Carolina resident

The Brown family is moving on from Arizona, or at least all of Kody Brown’s former wives are. Sister Wives fans watched Christine Brown and Meri Brown leave Arizona for different parts of Utah following the end of their spiritual marriages to Kody Brown.

While Janelle Brown also divorced her troubled husband, she appeared to be staying put in the state. That has since changed. Janelle Brown undertook the biggest move out of Kody’s former wives so far, and it was all done in secret.

Janelle Brown has purchased a large parcel of land in North Carolina

Earlier this month, In Touch Weekly reported that Janelle Brown had paid nearly $300,000 for over 100 acres of land in Chocowinity, North Carolina.

Chocowinity is a town of just 800 residents and is situated about 30 minutes from where Maddie Brush lives. Brush and her husband, Caleb Brush, moved to North Carolina several years ago for a career opportunity.

It is currently unclear if the property that Janelle Brown has purchased has a home on it or if she’ll need to build a residence.

Regardless of the structures on the property, it is obvious that Janelle plans to build out the dream she once had for Coyote Pass in North Carolina. Janelle previously envisioned using Coyote Pass for gardening and farming purposes. She even discussed building greenhouses on the property.

Mykelti Padron confirmed that Janelle is living in North Carolina at this time

While Janelle purchased her acreage in March 2024, it was unclear if she was currently living in the East Coast state or still residing in Arizona. Mykelti and Tony Padron set the record straight during a recent video upload to their Patreon account.

Tony Padron revealed that Janelle had already moved to North Carolina and that it would be nice to be closer to her “household” once they, too, move states. Mykelti tried to quiet her husband, stating that he wasn’t supposed to mention Janelle’s move.

She didn’t explain why the move was a secret. Still, fans were quick to assume Janelle’s decision to leave Arizona will likely be a storyline in an upcoming season of Sister Wives. If it is being featured on the show, it is unlikely to appear in season 19.

The upcoming season is rumored to be premiering in August. The move is likely too recent to have made the filming schedule.

Mykelti Padron and Tony Padron announced they’d be leaving Utah for North Carolina last month. After their 2016 wedding, the duo resided in St. George, Utah.

They moved to the Salt Lake City area after the birth of their first child. The duo welcomed twins in Salt Lake City before deciding to move East for several reasons. They also explained their reasoning for the move in their recent video.

Mykelti and Tony are setting up their lives near Charlotte, North Carolina. Charlotte is more than four hours from Chocowinity, where Janelle presumably resides.
