Although General Hospital’s hotshot attorney, Diane “Killer” Miller, has no problem being aggressive and trampling over her courtroom adversaries, her portrayer, Carolyn Hennesy, has a much softer side.
She introduced fans to her newest family member in an adorable and loving set of photos on social media.
Family Member Has Vampire Ties
Hennesy shared some wonderful pictures on Instagram recently.
They were snaps of a cute little dog, and she wrote, “Picked up a little something in the Berkshires. The new addition went from being named Ernest to Bela Lugosi on account of biting me twice on our first full day together.”
Bela Lugosi, of course, was a Hungarian actor who was most famous for portraying Count Dracula on stage and then in the movies in the classic 1931 Universal horror film, Dracula, and again in 1948 in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.
(Find out why GH’s Drew looks like Universal’s Frankenstein monster.)
She continued, “He has since mellowed…I hope. Getting him into the carrier at 4:00 am will be fun. I suspect there will be some ground beef hiding a trazodone [antidepressant] tablet in the process.
He’s a gem of a boy. Thank you Ivey Abitz, for introducing me to the newest family member.” She also referenced her other furry family members, noting, “I firmly believe that Sophie Tucker, Spanky Gene, and most especially Arbuckle, have sent him to me from afar, proving they are still watching and loving.”
Clearly, one or more of her pets have passed on, and one fan picked up on that, remarking, “Congratulations- I do believe our passed pets send us the next one that we need – 🐾🐾🐾❤️.”
She provided an update about traveling with her new pet. “Tuckered at Boston Logan.
Big fight this morning getting into the carrier—which we trained with Sunday night and all day yesterday. Little fuc…darling…drew blood again (he’s so damn quick) because puppy teeth, being smaller, are like tiny scalpels. And me, as I’m somewhat decrepit, well I’ve gotten slower.
Someone’s going into training in very short order. But we’re on our way home; me and the beloved Berkshire theater dog.”
Everyone Had Puppy Love
Hennesy apparently acquired her newest family member in Massachusetts where she also appeared at Bard College in Great Barrington, performing in a play titled, Survival of the Unfit, according to Soaps in Depth.
The fans melted upon seeing the poochie pics with one writing, “Congratulations to BOTH of you! That’s one very lucky (and very cute) pup!❤️🐾.” They were unanimous in declaring Bela Lugosi as “adorable,” and the love and good wishes kept flowing in, with several fans remarking how their own passed on pets have guided them to finding new cuties to love.
One follower excitedly noted, “Well done, Carolyn. It’s always the guys with the most handsome faces…he’s beautiful and found the most loving Mama. ❤️.” One fan had remarked that the dog’s bites were “love bites,” so another followed up on that writing, “What a cutie!! Those ‘love bites’ can hurt, though.. May you both be blessed with many years of unconditional love 🥰.” The fans congratulated her and stated that both she and the doggie were very lucky. Congratulations to Carolyn Hennesy for her new puppy love!!
